At a press conference today, the three main education unions - WVEA, AFT, and WVSSPA - announced that, given the newest push by the state senate to amend SB 451 and include more charters and reintroduce ESA's, a statewide walkout for Tuesday, February 19th would be necessary moving forward. When asked whether the walkouts would be one day or would continue indefinitely, the union presidents stated that they would continue depending on how the bill progresses each day.
